Frederick L. Bruening, MD, a medical director of the Park Eye & Surgi-Center, is a board-certified ophthalmologist, and fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmolgy, as well as the prestigious Society for Excellence in Eyecare.
He received his medical degree at the University of Iowa, School of Medicine in 1980, and went on to become Chief Resident of the Ophthalmology Department at the North Carolina Baptist Hospital, Wake Forest Medical Center in North Carolina.
Dr. Bruening specializes in clear corneal cataract surgery, a micro-incision technique that reduces post-operative complications and recovery time, glaucoma management and ophthalmic plastic surgery.
