In-Office Laser Surgery
After cataract surgery, some may develop a film or scar tissue on the new intraocular lens. This film can produce similar symptoms to what you may have experienced prior to surgery. If that happens, this simple laser surgery can remove the scar tissue and restore your clear vision once again. This surgery can be done immediately following the doctor's evaluation of your eye at the same appointment.
This surgery is used to treat or prevent closed angle glaucoma in those eyes which have very narrow drain passages. The laser creates a new drain passage in the outer edge of the iris, which allows fluid to pass once again between the anterior and posterior chambers. This surgery can also be done immediately following the doctor's evaluation of your eye at the same appointment.
